It has long been known that the human pupil of the eye will dilate when a high level of attention is obtained. This can be used to measure if a person is actually paying attention when learning new tasks. Attention is known to correlate very closely to learning ability. In fact, it is crucial to learning. 

However, research on measuring attention during exercise is lacking, but could have many benefits especially when learning new motor skills or re-learning old motor skills after injury.

Measuring attention using EEG equipment during exercise was attempted in the Spring of 2018 but without much success. Perhaps the pupil dilation method will be more successful.

== Tasks ==
Using cameras, a platform that tracks the pupil size during exercise must be developed. The Training Technology Lab uses ROS (Robotic Operating System) to collect data from all equipment in the lab, including webcams, which will be easy to turn into a prototype platform.

Machine Learning may be used to track the pupil size in the image processing part.

This platform may need to be very practical and easy to use, so it doesn't obstruct the user from the task.
