Courses

  • FIS - Embedded programming in wellfare technology (work in progress)

Affiliated courses

  • Motion Technology in context - Taught jointly by HUM/HEALTH/TEK professors (from feb 2022) .. How technology, physiology and interaction come together, and introduction to the tools to describe and analyze motion in the joint contexts of technology, interaction and physiology. A hands on course affiliated with the Trinity Partnership.
  • Objects technology and human beings - Taught by HUM/Institute for language and communication .. important for application and development of effective training technology. This course is related to the Trinity Partnership

Projects

  • Trinity - Engineering participation in SDU's strategic Trinity project
  • RoboTrainer-One (Completed) - Robot training from hospitals to the Space station.
  • RoboTrainer-Lift (Completed) - Experimental partial-weight-bearing device

Student activity (Spring 2022)

Due to our external partnerships, we have a large portfolio of external topics, but we also value suggestions and ideas from students. We prefer to create activities that merge students interests with the interests of the training technology lab. So please pay us a visit and have a talk about your project/activity.

We have long standing interests in:

  • Training robots ... Training machines where algorithms control force and resistance.
  • Sensors for motion and training technology ... sportsensor, EMG, force sensors etc.
  • Bio feedback ... creating understanding, knowledge and motivation.

And we like to apply the above to:

  • People with disabilities (Wellfare technology)
  • Health professionals (Health Technology)
  • Normal people (Sports technology)
  • Athletes (Elite sports technology)
  • Astronauts (Space technology)

And we have established a number of relevant partnerships:

  • Founding member of SDU's strategic effort: "Trinity: Motion Technology for Humans"
  • Sponsored Team Denmark partnership, on elite sports technology
  • Member of the National Danish Space Exploration and Space education partnerships
  • Partnership with Dansk Handicapforbund -- joint projects and applications
  • Partnerships with OUH: Center for Clinical Robots (CCR) and CIMT

Master thesis projects

Individual study activities

Bachelors projects

Student activity (Spring 2021)

Please correct the "sketchy" titles below, enter your names and create a small wiki page describing the project

Supervision

Supervision themes

  • Technologies ... who is using what, and can we benefit from overlap between projects
  • Applications ... who is working with which processes (exercises, interventions etc), and can we benefit from overlaps
  • Reports/documentation ... can we benefit from similarities in documentation/report writing

Student activity (Spring 2020)

Former projects

Inspiration for student projects (Need update!)

The following projects are for inspiration and are very open to modifications. In the Training Technology Lab, we value students working with what they find interesting over following strict project descriptions. If you have an idea for another project feel free to contact us!
